Head of the OECD Working Group on Bribery Mr. Drago Kos and Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption of the Republic of Slovenia Dr. Robert Šumi will talk about this on the online seminar.
On 10 February 2022, the Astana Civil Service Hub will held an online seminar on "Transparency and Prevention of Corruption". The event will be opened by Chairman of the Steering Committee of the ACSH Mr. Alikhan Baimenov and Chairman of the Anti-corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakstan Mr. Marat Akhmetzhanov.
The key speaker of the event will be Mr. Drago Kos, who will present the results of his research study on preventing and combating corruption in post-socialist countries. The study summarizes the experience of post-socialist countries in preventing corruption, identifies institutional, legislative measures and other aspects of combating corruption.
Dr. Robert Šumi will also deliver a speech about his country's experience in improving the transparency of financial relationships between the public sector and private companies.
The purpose of the seminar is to familiarize its participants with the best practices for preventing corruption, to help develop mechanisms to increase the transparency of financial relations between the public sector and private companies. Participants will also have the opportunity to exchange views on the most pressing issues in combatting corruption.
