Title: Public Service Development and Cooperation
On 27-29 October 2021, the Astana Civil Service Hub (ACSH) conducted its 8th Annual Conference in Astana, Kazakhstan. Being well known as a multilateral platform for the continuous exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of civil service development and consistent with its established tradition ACSH held a conference to bring together a multitude of its stakeholders.
The event was devoted to the theme of “Public Service Development and Cooperation” and particularly to certain aspects of public service development, to capacity-building in public service, on recent research in public administration, and on cooperation and partnerships in public service.
The Conference was attended by heads of authorized bodies in the civil service and foreign experts from 40 countries, as well as representatives of international organizations. During the Conference, a number of new projects implemented by the ACSH jointly with the Ministry of Interior and Safety, the National Information Society Agency of the Republic of Korea and "Zerde" National Infocommunication Holding" JSC were presented.
Leading international experts and practitioners shared their views and vision on the future of public administration in the post-pandemic period at the special session titled “Professionals’ Insights and Reflections”. The Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, Chairman of the United Nations International Civil Service Commission H.E. Mr. Larbi DJACTA, Former Vice Prime Minister of Georgia Ms. Maya TSKITISHVILI, Head of OECD Working Group on Bribery Mr. Drago KOS, and other experts presented at the session.
The Hub has over 80 institutional partners with whom it maintains and develops partnerships, and therefore the conference continued on October 28 and 29 with joint panel sessions of the Hub with partners.
In addition, there were discussed further perspectives and new opportunities for cooperation among the countries of the region within the framework of the Hub, which became a recognized center for the continuous exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of civil service.
