ACSH signed MOU with Local Government Academy of the Republic of the Philippines
The Local Government Academy of the Department of the Interior and Local Government of the Republic of the Philippines and the Astana Civil Service Hub intend to share knowledge and experience in the field of public administration and civil service through mutual cooperation.
Mr. Alikhan BAIMENOV, Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Astana Civil Service Hub, and Mr. Benjamin ABALOS, Minister of the Interior and Local Government of the Republic of the Philippines, signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the ACSH Annual Conference. The parties noted that this Memorandum will serve as the foundation for long-term bilateral cooperation through the exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of public administration, holding joint events, exchanging information and publications.
Minister Abalos took part in the ACSH Annual Conference, during which he spoke at a session on corruption prevention and ethics and shared his country's unique experience.
On the ground of the Conference Mr. Alikhan Baimenov also held bilateral meetings with representatives of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea (MOIS) and the South Asian Network for Public Administration (SANPA).
In general, the Conference was attended by 300 participants from over than 100 organisations, including participation of UN Under-Secretary-General, leaders of large public administration assossications such as the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA), the Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA), the African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM).
The ACSH Annual Conference on “Meritocracy. Integrity. Innovation” was organized with the support of the UNDP in Kazakhstan, the Agency for Civil Service Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The participants noted the Hub as an effective platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of public administration.
