Hub expands cooperation with International Anti-Corruption Academy

On October 2, 2019, the 8th session of the Assembly of Parties of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) was held in Nur-Sultan with support of the Anti-corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Astana Civil Service Hub.

In his welcoming speech, Chairman of the Steering Committee of the ACSH Mr. Alikhan Baimenov noted the general similarity of the ACSH and IACA missions. He also emphasized that “ultimately, all efforts to prevent corruption are aimed at improving the efficiency of public administration and people's welfare.” In connection with this, Mr. Baimenov proposed to create together with the IACA an “Peer to Peer” Alliance on the prevention and combating of corruption, based on the methodology of the Effective Institutions Platform (EIP), located at OECD Headquarters.

In the framework of the 8th session of IACA's Assembly of Parties, different events were also organized, including thematic side events, bilateral meetings between delegates and working discussions of the Assembly. The 8th session of Assembly was attended by over 100 representatives from 20 IACA's member countries.
