ACSH strengthens cooperation with the Republic of Korea
The Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Astana Civil Service Hub Mr. Alikhan Baimenov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Kim Dae-sik.
Mr. Baimenov briefly introduced the latest Hub’s achievements highlighting successful development of cooperation with the Republic of Korea. He noted that the Republic of Korea has actively participated and supported Hub’s initiatives since its very inception. It was outlined that the experience of the Republic of Korea in the field of civil service is considered as one of the benchmarks for the enhancement of the civil service systems in Hub’s participating countries. Mr. Baimenov has also expressed Hub’s interest in strengthening further cooperation with the Republic of Korea to disseminate their accumulated experience among the countries of the region.
In turn, Ambassador Mr. Kim Dae-sik was impressed by Hub’s successful performance and noted the importance of such a platform for knowledge and experience sharing in the field of civil service. He emphasized the significance of cooperation with the Hub and expressed the readiness of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to support Hub in building partnership and networks with relevant experts and government institutions.
During the meeting the parties discussed prospects for future collaboration between Hub and the Republic of Korea through organization of joint case studies and capacity-building events for civil servants of the Hub’s participating countries.
