ACSH strengthens cooperation with its partners

On 24 September 2021 Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Astana Civil Service Hub (ACSH) Mr. Alikhan Baimenov had an online meeting with newly appointed Secretary-General of the Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA) Dr. Alex Brillantes. During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for further cooperation, including the organization of  joint capacity building events and conduction of joint research projects in the field of public service.

Also, on this day Chairman of the Steering Committee of the ACSH Mr. Alikhan Baimenov took part at the plenary session of the Richelieu Forum “Civil Service 3.0: Foresight and Transformation”, which was organised by the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service and Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union.

In his speech, Mr. Baimenov said that “governments worldwide experience ever-growing expectations of citizens associated with high public awareness, owing to increased rates of education and the rapid development of information technologies”. He also drew attention to the balance between the long-term and the mid-term priorities of the state, between advanced technologies and the protection of human rights; and focused on key factors of governance effectiveness.

The objective of the Forum is to stimulate a dialogue for finding common solutions and generating ideas for a citizen-oriented civil service and discussion of the issues related to the civil service transformation and its perspectives.
