ACSH participated at the Peer-to-Peer Donors’ Learning online meeting

The ACSH took part at the online meeting of donors to study the experience of application of the “Peer-to-Peer (P2P)” principle in donor organizations and for further cooperation with the Effective Institutions Platform (EIP) members. The meeting was arranged by the EIP, Government Partnerships International (GPI, UK) and Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).

During the meeting, key donors as the GPI, European Union, SIDA, World Bank, Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) and Irish Aid shared experiences in building and supporting P2P partnerships. They presented their activities and success cases in partnerships, as well as highlighted challenges and lessons learned from the COVID-19 crisis.

Following this, EIP members as the ACSH, CABRI (South Africa), LOGIN (India) and CEG (Kenya) provided their reflections on how donors could effectively use P2P by taking into account the peers’ interests, their communalities and differences, and accordingly elaborate strategy to achieve goals, measure results and deal constraints in scaling P2P approach up. During the event, the representatives of the ACSH also noted the results of the P2P interaction of practitioners within the Virtual Alliance, created to exchange of innovative solutions in the context of the COVID-19.

The participants also had group discussions to brainstorm a number of important issues, aimed at enhancing the peer-to-peer cooperation and achieving sustainability of the results. At the meeting, the OECD, DFID, USAID and Canadian representatives have taken part as well.
